Very clean and comfortable. It was nice to have kitchen essentials and laundry essentials. They provide toiletries if you forget yours. There are plenty of clean and fresh towels. The owners are very nice people. The view from the deck is stunning. Plentiful bird watching opportunities. Could use handrails at the front entrance for mobility challenged people.
Absolutely breathtaking view! The host was incredibly kind and helpful. My car broke down 5 miles from the chalet. He made a way for us to get there and even offered to feed us. The chalet itself was perfect. Cozy and immaculately clean. The hot tub on the patio overlooking the valley was exquisite . Definitely have plans to go back!
5/5 Absolutely breathtaking views! Watching the sunrise was picture perfect. However, the Hot tub at sunset was pretty incredible, peaceful and relaxing. It is around ~30 minutes to downtown Chattanooga, and the drive down the mountain is very scenic. Dave was great and very accommodating. Would definitely recommend Above the Clouds Chalet for its amazing view and proximity to places of interest. I had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back!
I can't say enough great things about this place and Dave, the host. We had a wonderful time. The place is well-kept, with antique furniture throughout. The view is spectacular. We will visit again.
Today is our second day here. This place is amazing. We're on top of Lookout Mountain. The view is breathtaking. Nothing like watching the sunrise with a hot cup of coffee on the back porch in a comfortable rocker. But I won't stop here because inside the chalet is beautiful. The bed is so comfortable! And, it's so clean that you could eat off the floors. (Maybe I'll try that later! Lol!) But seriously this place is worth every penny. We're coming back next year for a girls' trip!
Absolutely gorgeous views , beautifully appointed chalet , and the hosts are great people ! Hope to make this our annual go to in the mountains. Also , the roads are very good coming to the chalet. 4 wheel drive and or all wheel drives are not necessarily required to get to the cabin. Have rented some in the past that the 4 wheel drive was occasionally needed.
Loved this place! The owners are great! The view is awesome. The accommodations are outstanding. If you are looking for a place to stay, then THIS is the place. Easy access to all the tourist areas. Fair pricing! Look them up on VRBO!
We had a wonderful and relaxing stay here! The views are hard to beat. Our accommodations were cozy, clean and comfortable and the owners were great hosts. It's located a short 10 minute drive from Cloudland Canyon State Park (which is a MUST see!) and about half an hour from Chattanooga. We would absolutely stay here again! Thank you Carole and Dave.
